Jasmine's off to the Big Apple!

My sister Jasmine is completing her MBA next month, and has accepted a job in NYC with Citigroup.  Thomas and I are super proud of her, and while we're sad that we won't get to hang out with her as often, we are pretty stoked that we have an awesome reason to go to New York now! :D

In preparation for her new job, we took a few minutes to get her company headshot done.

And they're... gonna get ma-a-a-rried...

Chelsea and Dan are getting married today in the LDS Draper Temple, followed by a reception at Tuscan Garden Works.  So today's the perfect day to share the photos from their formals session!

Love the expressions below.... super cute couple!

It was a little bit cold outside.  Luckily, Chelsea had her Mickey Mouse Snuggie there.  After all, no discerning bride would be without one.

Lindy's Cake Smash

To try and meet my cuteness quota for the blog, I decided to share these photos from Lindy's 1 yr shoot.  She has one of the best names ever for a little girl. Our friends Lexi and Alan are both swing dancers. They met dancing, just like Thomas and I did, and so when they had a little girl, they decided to name her after their favorite dance- the Lindy Hop!

Of course, she also goes by her dad's nickname for her...   "Chunk".

It took a little while for Lindy to decide what to do with the cake, but she got into the swing of things pretty quick.

This last one is probably my favorite.

Amy & Jordan- The Formals

I love formals.  Love love love them!  I love that you can get beautiful wedding photos in a setting where you have the time to get all the shots you want without the pressure of "gotta get to that reception", where you can go to multiple locations, and best of all, where you can set the shoot for the best time of day.  When you do that, you can get photos like this:

You just can't get photos like this on the wedding day.   (p.s., I did not enhance the blues on that- if anything, it's actually a little desaturated).  Most people generally get married anywhere from 9am until about 3 or 4pm.  This does not make it exactly easy to get that sweet sunset for your newlywed photos.  Thus, we turn to the formals!

Ok, I think Amy and Jordan are just plain adorable.  Really, when you look at Amy's smile, her cute dimples, you say the same kind of  "aww" as when you smile at a baby and she smiles right back.

Formals.  All the awesome newlywed photos, without any most of the stress. ;)

Amy & Jordan

We took Amy and Jordan's engagement photos at the Riverwoods in Orem.  They are a super casual couple, and were great to hang around.  No stress, no worries.  Jordan is over a foot taller than his lovely bride-to-be, and so we had fun getting creative with some of our posing.

I loved the VW bus we found.  It was rad.

You can see all of Amy and Jordan's photos here.

Lindsey & Ben

I think Lindsey might be the most beautiful bride I've ever photographed.  She has such poise and a perfect smile.  I know her family because I took several photography lessons from her father, Kenneth Linge.  I've learned so much from him and felt so honored to be there with the family as the photographer (ok, maybe a little bit nervous too... and trying to remember everything I learned from my lessons!)
The wedding was at The Getaway at the Cascade Golf Center.  It's this amazing little building at the highest point in Orem overlooking the valley.  The view is absolutely spectacular!

Lindsey is one of the sweetest people I have met.  I was so glad I was there to show record how happy she and Ben were...

We stopped by the Riverwoods to shoot some newlyweds the same day as the cermony-  we got some fantastic shots!
Relaxed? Check.  Colorful?  Check.  Sweet textures?  Check.  Awesome laugh?  Check.
